1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RelationMap.io ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RelationMap.io is a web-based tool for creating, editing, and sharing interactive relationship diagrams. The Service includes a free tier and paid subscription plans.

3. Account Registration

To access cloud features, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your login credentials or allow unauthorized access.

4. Free and Paid Plans

4.1 Free Plan

• Unlimited cloud-saved maps (public only)
• Unlimited local (browser-only) maps
• PNG, JPG, and PDF export with watermark
• Access to all community templates

4.2 Pro Plan

• Unlimited cloud-saved maps (public and private)
• AI-powered editing (1,000 credits/month)
• All export formats including JSON data export
• No watermark on exports
• HD rendering

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. User Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain all rights to the relationship maps and content you create. We do not claim ownership of your content.

5.2 License to Us

By saving maps to the cloud, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the Service. For maps you make publicly accessible, this includes displaying them on share pages.

5.3 Content Standards

You agree not to create or share content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Contains malicious code or spam

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Attempt to bypass usage quotas or paywall restrictions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated scripts to access the Service without permission
• Resell or redistribute the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by RelationMap.io and protected by intellectual property laws. Built-in templates are provided under a Creative Commons license for personal and educational use.

8. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment details. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you believe you were charged in error.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the Service at any time. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RelationMap.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your cloud-saved data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
